I am an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Dominican University. I teach courses on research methods, statistics, social psychology, and emotion and motivation. I also conduct scholarly research that applies social psychology to understand the ways in which we can encourage well-being. For instance, I am currently conducting research on the influence of people’s state of mind on their perceptions of persuasive health messages.
Aside from these scholarly pursuits, I am a huge sports nut (go Giants, Niners, Warriors!), music lover (jazz, hip-hop, 60s/70s rock – you name it), and outdoor enthusiast (hiking, snowboarding, camping). My wife and I have a dog and two cats. Perhaps even more importantly, we just had a baby! Ezra is 6-months old and, so far, is our greatest adventure yet.
